Physical Disability Forum

We're excited to announce that in September we'll be sharing news about creation of a Pan Disability Reference Group for Kent and Medway. This will enable opportunities to hear from a wider range of people's experiences and collaboratively work to evidence inequalities and raise the concerns of people living with range of disabilities


 

This will align with Kent Medway Voice to ensure the voices of people with a range of visible, invisible, physical, sensory and learning disabilities are heard and escalated using our collective reach and connections across Kent and Medway.


 

We are also delighted to announce that Healthwatch Kent and Healthwatch Medway will be offering signposting and information via the Facebook group.


Updates to follow in September

The Forum provides an opportunity for networking, direct access to decision makers and contacts members regularly via newsletter to update them on its work.

 

The Forum meets once a quarter  (currently over Teams) and is supported by a break out group made up of volunteer members who are able to devote a little more time to specific work and consultations.


The Forum works with and influences Councils, Providers and Clinical Commissioning Groups across Kent to ensure that services for disabled people are effectively shaped and scrutinised by the people who actually use them. We represent the views of Forum members at a national level in Parliament.
