The Physical Disability Forum was set up in partnership with The Centre for Independent Living in 2016, to bring together disabled people and the organisations which support them across Kent as a strong, unified, independent voice.

We are the voice of disabled people across the county, representing their views to decision makers.

The next Physical Disability Forum meeting will be held virtually on 8th December from 14:00-15:00 with time to network after. For all the dates and details of upcoming meetings click here.

The Forum provides an opportunity for networking, direct access to decision makers and contacts members regularly to update them on its work.

The Forum meets once or twice a year in full, but is supported by a break out group made up of volunteer members who are able to devote a little more time to specific work and consultations. The break out group meets several times a year at different venues around Kent to drive forward the objectives of the Forum.
The Forum works with and influences Councils, Providers and Clinical Commissioning Groups across Kent to ensure that services for disabled people are effectively shaped and scrutinised by the people who actually use them. We represent the views of Forum members at a national level in Parliament.

Our membership is comprised of disabled people, their families, their carers and the organisations which
represent them.
